Short Hairstyles

December 3rd, 2008

The most popular short hair cuts in the salon lately are similar to the cut Victoria Beckham made popular. The longer sides and shorter back make this style adaptable to the many different facial shapes and the lifestyles of my diversified clientele. This is a cut that demands precision to shape the hair in back depending on how the hair grows. I always make sure to focus a lot on this area keeping in mind that very few clients will actually look in that area on a regular basis but it needs to look great when ANYONE is checking out the hair. The cut works best with a dry, detailed and edgy tailoring.Styling the look works can be simple with a blow out or more elegant with a finish of flat iron with Paul Mitchell products selected to fit the hair type and the desire of the overall look. Blow dry with a round brush for a soft look with lots of shine (be sure to set the style with your cool shot of the blow dryer). For a sleeker and more controlled look flat iron the hair and set with a finishing spray. Sophisticated party looks are easy with large curls or even a few fingerwaves (gasp) that we do at the salon. Here in Oklahoma with the crazy winds I recommend Freeze and Shine for those extra blustery days. Thanks to all the sexy little mama’s with the short hair!Big Papa
